Cape Fear River Ducks

2025 All-Stars:

– Ryan Perkins

– Patrick Krack

– Ryan Dougherty

– Casey Schoonmaker

– Zak Duval

– Jacob Birkle

– Dylan Pierce

– Mike Barker

– Chris Roan

Recent Accolades:

– 2025 CMBL Championship MVP – Jacob Birkle

– 2025 CMBL Extra Base Hit Leader – Ryan Perkins

– 2025 CMBL Stolen Base Leader – Casey Schoonmaker

2026 Outlook:

THE CHAMPS ARE HERE! In 2026, the Ducks enter as the standard. A 22–5–1 run across Spring and Fall, capped with two championships, established them as the most consistent team in the league. They lose the league MVP in Ryan Perkins, which is significant, but the core remains intact and battle-tested. This group doesn’t rely on momentum swings; they win with depth, execution, and the ability to control games late. With Casey Shoonmaker stepping into his first season as manager, expectations won’t change. The Ducks aren’t rebuilding. They’re defending.

US Military WarDogs – Camp Lejeune

Seasons in CMBL: 4

Manager: Charlie Ramsland

2025 Record: 19–5 (Spring & Fall)

2025 All-Stars:

– Derek Fallecker

– PJ White

– Brian Self

– James Whitney

– Jeff Wilson

– Dom Cicale

– Jake Mattox

– JJ Tipton

– Charlie Ramsland

Recent Accolades:

– 2025 CMBL Regular Season Champions

– 2025 CMBL Manager of the Year – Charlie Ramsland

– 2025 Runs Scored Leader – James Whitney

– 2025 Walks Leader – Derek Fallecker

– 2025 WHIP Leader – Dom Cicale

2026 Outlook:

The WarDogs don’t try to be flashy. They just apply pressure for nine innings. A 19–5 campaign and a regular-season title proved their consistency, and Charlie Ramsland’s Manager of the Year award reflects how disciplined this group remains as it enters its fourth season. Offensively, they grind at-bats and get on base. On the mound, they limit traffic and force opponents to earn everything. They weren’t far off last year. In 2026, the goal is simple: turn regular-season dominance into a championship finish.

Northern Lights

Manager: Troy Morse

Season: 6th

2025 Record: 15–4 (Spring Only)

2025 All-Stars:

– Zack Licursi

– Justin Croom

– Kevin Mintz

– Brian Herrmann

– Brandon Licursi

– Lee Murray

– Jerryd Jones

Recent Accolades:

– 2023 CMBL Regular Season Champions

– 2021 CMBL Tournament Champions

– 2021 CMBL Regular Season Champions

– 2025 CMBL Batting Champion – Lee Murray

– 2025 CMBL RBI Leader – Justin Croom

– 2025 ERA Leader – Brian Herrmann

2026 Outlook:

The Northern Lights are one of the league’s established powers. Six seasons together has created continuity, and a 15–4 spring run showed they remain firmly in contention. They bring proven production at the plate, anchored by the league’s batting champion and RBI leader, and front-line pitching that can control a game from the first inning. Their history includes multiple championships and regular season titles. This isn’t a team chasing relevance. The expectation in 2026 isn’t improvement. It’s return to the top.

Eels

Manager: Brandon DeVito

Season: 18th

2025 Record: 12–6 (Spring)

2025 All-Stars:

– Brandon DeVito (manager)

– Riley Powell

– Jake Kight

– Randy Torres

– Patrick Kantor

– Cameron Guertin

– Tyler Barnes

Recent Accolades:

– 2024 CMBL Tournament Champions

– 2024 CMBL Regular Season Champions

– 2023 CMBL Tournament Champions

2026 Outlook:

Few teams in the league match the Eels’ longevity or championship pedigree. Entering their 18th season, they’ve built a culture centered on experience, situational baseball, and postseason composure. Back-to-back championship seasons in 2023 and 2024 established them as a standard, even as a 12–6 spring in 2025 showed the margin for error continues to narrow. The biggest shift this year is the loss of longtime CMBL player and perennial All-Star Riley Powell, a steady presence in the lineup and clubhouse. Replacing that production and leadership won’t be simple. But if history says anything, it’s that the Eels have their sights set on a third title in four years.

Copperheads

Season: 18th

Manager: Tanner Staley

2025 Record: 8–9 (Spring)

2025 All-Stars:

– Zach Reed

– Alex Farrow

– Miles Landron

– Aaron Hugenot

Recent Accolades:

– 2025 CMBL Pitcher of the Year – Zach Reed

– 2025 CMBL Innings Pitched Leader – Zach Reed

– 2025 CMBL Strikeouts Leader – Zach Reed

2026 Outlook:

The Copperheads enter their 18th season with momentum building. An 8–9 spring record may not jump off the page, but the presence of the league’s Pitcher of the Year in Zach Reed gives them a legitimate frontline anchor. While All-Star catcher Aaron Hugenot has moved on, the addition of several promising new players has brought renewed depth and energy to the roster. With proven production on the mound and talent throughout the lineup, this is a team that is trending upward heading into 2026.

Cape Fear Flytraps

Season: 14

Manager: Jesse Money

2025 Record: 8–10 (Spring)

2025 All-Stars:

– Cam High

– Dylan Barton

– Joe High

– Evin Eichelberger

– Jesse Money

Recent Accolades:

– 2022 CMBL Tournament Champions

2026 Outlook:

The Flytraps enter 2026 with a foundation that’s been built over the last six seasons. While last spring didn’t meet their usual standard, this is still a group that knows how to compete when it matters. Jesse Money’s steady leadership continues to define the team’s identity: experienced, composed, and prepared. In the lineup, Evin “Ike” Eichelberger remains a key presence, capable of driving offense and anchoring big innings. With all of the core returning and a few calculated additions to reinforce depth, the expectation isn’t dramatic change; it’s to return to the level this group has proven they can play at.

Jacksonville Brew Crew

Seasons: 4

Manager: Chris Walushka

2025 Record: 12–11–1 (Spring & Fall)

2025 All-Stars:

– Chris Walushka

– Denver Nixon

– Jarrett McGonigal

– Trey Luminella

– Tripp Creech (Bombers)

– Will Slaugenhoup (Bombers)

Recent Accolades:

– 2025 CMBL Jacksonville Fall Ball Champions

– 2025 CMBL Hitter of the Year – Trey Luminella

– 2025 CMBL Home Run Leader – Trey Luminella

– 2025 CMBL OPS Leader – Trey Luminella

– 2025 CMBL Newcomer of the Year – Tripp Creech (Bombers)

2026 Outlook:

The Brew Crew’s 2025 was a tale of two seasons. An 8th-place spring finish was completely washed away after securing the Jacksonville Fall Ball championship, showing this team’s ability to regroup and evolve. They do lose Trey Luminella, the league’s Hitter of the Year and top power bat, which leaves a major void in the lineup. However, the additions of Tripp Creech, Will Slaugenhoup, and Josh Kellogg from the disbanded Bombers inject proven production and depth. Entering his fourth season, Chris Walushka now leads a roster that looks more complete and far more dangerous than it did this time last year.

Carolina Cardinals

Seasons: 4

Manager: Travis Boyd

2025 Record: 6–17 (Spring & Fall)

2025 All-Stars:

– Robbie Carter

– Travis Boyd

– Aaron Hernandez

2026 Outlook:

The Cardinals enter 2026 with a clear opportunity in front of them. A challenging 2025 season created space for change, and significant roster turnover (9 new players) since last spring signals a fresh start. The return of all three 2025 All-Stars gives this team a proven core to build around, bringing both production and experience back into the clubhouse. With Travis Boyd in his fourth season, the focus shifts toward consistency and competitiveness. If the new pieces settle in early, the Cardinals could look very different from the group that finished last year.

NC Renegades

Season: 2

Manager: Leo Flores

2025 Record: 9–16 (Spring & Fall)

2025 All-Stars:

– Jacob Linares

– Chris Coleman

– Leo Flores

– Austin Eubanks

Recent Accolades:

– 2025 CMBL Home Run Derby Champion – Christian Jones

2026 Outlook:

After finishing 9th during their inaugural spring campaign, the Renegades found their footing in the fall, going 5–2 and playing their best baseball of the year. Key additions like Christian Jones and Royce Woolfork helped spark that turnaround and gave the lineup added firepower. This offseason, the roster continued to strengthen with the additions of Dustan Morgan and Braxton Barnes. With those additions to go with a returning core headlined by Jacob Linares and Austin Eubanks, manager Leo Flores has momentum on his side. The Renegades enter 2026 looking to carry that progress into a successful spring season.

Safer Place Dinos

Season: 1st

Manager: Dylan Rock

2025 Record: 2–5 (Fall Ball)

2026 Outlook:

The Safer Place Dinos enter their first official CMBL season after getting an early introduction to the league during last year’s fall schedule. A 2–5 record provided valuable experience as the roster adjusted to the level of competition and began building chemistry. With Dylan Rock leading the group, the focus now shifts toward translating that early experience into growth during a full season. Expansion teams often take time to find their footing, but the fall gave this group a foundation to build on. As the Dinos enter their first spring campaign, the goal is simple: compete, develop, and establish themselves in Jacksonville and the league.

Carolina Reapers (Wilmington)

Season: 1st

Manager: Zach Brewer

2025 Record: 1–6 (Fall Ball)

2026 Outlook:

The Carolina Reapers enter their first official CMBL season after using last fall as an opportunity to establish their foundation. While the results on paper were limited to a 1–6 record, the experience helped shape a roster that now returns nine players from that fall squad. That continuity provides a starting point as the team prepares for its first full spring campaign. With Zach Brewer leading the group and a large portion of the roster already familiar with one another, the focus in 2026 will be on building chemistry, developing consistency, and establishing the identity of a brand-new program.

Port City Heat

Season: 1st

Manager: Derek Cohen

2025 Record: 5–2 (Fall Ball)

2026 Outlook:

The Port City Heat made an immediate impression after joining the league during last fall’s schedule, finishing with a strong 5–2 record in their introduction to CMBL competition. While only six players from that fall roster return, manager Derek Cohen has been active throughout the offseason, working to reshape and strengthen the lineup. The result is a significantly revamped squad heading into the spring. With a successful fall debut already under their belt and new pieces now in place, the Heat enter their first full season looking to build on that early momentum.

Brunswick Reign

Season: 1st

Manager: Jordan Todd

2025 Record: 2–4 (Fall Ball)

2026 Outlook:

The Brunswick Reign enter their first official CMBL season after competing in the fall under the name Southport Spartans. That fall campaign provided an early introduction to the league and an opportunity for the roster to gain valuable experience together. With a new name and a full season ahead, the team now looks to build on that foundation. Under the leadership of Jordan Todd, the Reign head into 2026 focused on developing chemistry, competing week to week, and establishing themselves under their new identity.

East Coast Marlins

Season: 1st

Manager: Christian Peyregne

2026 Outlook:

The East Coast Marlins enter the league as a brand-new team, built from a mix of players from the disbanded Bombers and many new free agents looking for an opportunity. With Christian Peyregne leading the group, the focus early will be on building chemistry and establishing a competitive identity in their first season together.

The Marlins’ name may sound familiar to longtime followers of the CMBL. A team by the same name previously competed in the league and captured five consecutive championships from 2016 through 2020. However, this new East Coast Marlins club is not connected to that group. The shared name is purely a coincidence. For this roster, 2026 represents a fresh start and the beginning of a new chapter under a recognizable banner.
