The Eels are back-to-back CMBL Champions after defeating the Flytraps 6-1 in the first game of the CMBL Championship Round.
Cameron Guertin pitched a complete game for the Eels. Guertin allowed only one run and struck out nine.
On offense, Tyler Barnes, Jake Kight, Riley Powell, Jordan Flora, and Zack Wait all collected timely hits for the Eels. Barnes had two RBI. Powell and Kight had one RBI each. Wait added a big ground-rule double of his own and Flora manufactured a run by himself on the base paths. Leadoff hitter Ty Richards did his job and scored two runs as well.
Congratulations to manager, Brandon DeVito, and his Eels on a great season and championship! The Eels were 16-2 between the regular season and playoffs.
