Playoff Elimination Game
In a tight, hard-fought battle, the Cape Fear Flytraps edged out the Copperheads 3–2 to stay alive in the postseason.
Bair High (#18) delivered the game’s biggest swing — a two-run home run in the 4th to erase an early deficit. He finished with 2 RBI and scored twice.
On the mound, Cam High (#44) threw 5.2 shutout innings in relief, striking out 8 and earning the win in a clutch performance under pressure.
Despite an outstanding 8-strikeout start from Zach Reed (#17) and multi-hit games from Aaron Hugenot and Joseph Serrono, the Copperheads fell just short.
With the loss, the Copperheads are eliminated from postseason contention. The Flytraps advance and keep their championship hopes alive. They’ll take on the River Ducks this Friday Night in another Elimination Game.
