THE CHAMPIONS.
The Cape Fear River Ducks have done it again.
After finishing the regular season 12-2, earning the #1 seed, leading the CMBL in both runs scored and runs allowed, and going 4-0 through the postseason, the Ducks are officially the 2026 CMBL Spring Champions.
And with it, the run continues.
2025 Spring Champions.
2025 Fall Champions.
2026 Spring Champions.
Three straight seasons. Three straight championships.
What started in 2025 as the merger of the Wilmington Rays and Wilmington Marlins has quickly become one of the most successful runs in CMBL history.
But championships aren’t won by a logo or a record.
They’re won by a roster.
By the guys who take the ball. The guys who come through with runners on. The guys who catch, defend, run, grind through nine innings, and show up when the season is on the line.
From Caleb Bishop controlling the championship game on the mound, to Chris Roan’s grand slam, Patrick Krack’s postseason power, Sam Zinn delivering in every phase of the game, and contributions up and down the lineup all season long — this championship belonged to the entire group.
The names on this graphic are now attached to another piece of CMBL history.
The target will only get bigger from here.
