CMBL Represented in USAB World Series

The East Coast Enforcers, a team built from CMBL All-Stars and postseason standouts, returned to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, for their second consecutive appearance at the USAB 25+ World Series. Representing the Wilmington area and featuring players from the River Ducks, Northern Lights, Eels, Copperheads, Flytraps, and Renegades, the Enforcers once again showcased the depth and competitiveness of the CMBL.

Led by Manager Ethan King and Assistant Manager Jesse Money, the 2025 Enforcers roster featured a strong mix of talent, including several league leaders and award winners:


Tournament Overview

The Enforcers competed in Pool Play from September 25–27 at the Cal Ripken Experience and Styers Athletic Complex, before advancing to the playoff round on September 27. Over four games of pool play and one playoff matchup, the Enforcers battled top teams from across the East Coast.


Pool Play Game 1 – Enforcers 5, CT Braves 4

The Enforcers opened strong with a 5–4 win over the Connecticut Braves.
Zack Licursi powered the offense with a two-run home run in the third inning, earning Player of the Game honors. Cam High added two hits, Casey Schoonmaker scored twice, and the pitching trio of Zach Reed, Tyler Barnes, and Kevin Mintz combined for a solid performance on the mound. Mintz closed it out with a scoreless ninth to seal the victory.

Record: 1–0


Pool Play Game 2 – Enforcers 2, Charleston Salty Dawgs 0

The Enforcers followed with a shutout victory over Charleston to move to 2–0.
Zack Licursi again starred, this time on the mound, tossing 6.2 scoreless innings with 7 strikeouts. Cam High and Kevin Mintz teamed up for 2.1 innings of scoreless relief. At the plate, Evin Eichelberger led the charge with three hits, including a double, while Jake Kight drove in a run and Randy Torres scored twice.

Record: 2–0


Pool Play Game 3 – Roc City 15, Enforcers 7

Game three brought the Enforcers’ first setback as they fell to Roc City 15–7.
Despite the loss, the offense stayed active. Chris Roan homered and drove in two runs to earn Player of the Game. Casey Schoonmaker added a double, a single, an RBI, and scored twice, while Evin Eichelberger, Ryan Perkins, Jake Kight, Joe High, Zak Duval, and Leo Flores each chipped in hits.

Record: 2–1


Pool Play Game 4 – Niagara Devils 10, Enforcers 2

The Enforcers wrapped up pool play with a 10–2 loss to Niagara, finishing 2–2 overall but still qualifying for the playoffs as the #7 seed.
Ryan Perkins drove in a run, and Austin Eubanks was strong on the mound, striking out nine over nearly nine innings of work.

Record: 2–2 (Advanced to Playoffs)


Playoff Quarterfinal – Los Lobos 4, Enforcers 0

Facing the #2 seed Los Lobos, the Enforcers’ run came to an end with a 4–0 loss.
Despite being shut out, Evin Eichelberger doubled, while Jake Kight and Zach Reed each added singles. On the mound, Brian Herrmann and Cam High split the game evenly, combining for eight innings and nine strikeouts.
Herrmann and High were recognized as Co-Players of the Game for their efforts.

Final Record: 2–3 Overall


Final Thoughts

The East Coast Enforcers represented the CMBL with pride and competitive fire throughout the 2025 USAB World Series. The team’s blend of talent, chemistry, and resilience was on full display, highlighted by strong pitching performances from Licursi, Eubanks, and Herrmann, and key offensive moments from Eichelberger, Roan, and Schoonmaker.

Though the tournament ended in the quarterfinals, the Enforcers once again proved they belong among the top amateur baseball programs on the East Coast. As the team’s statement put it best:

“The CMBL showed up with a great group of guys and ball players — and proved to the rest of the East Coast that we can compete. We’ll be back next year.”
